Think this is going to be a great improvement and Im sure it will be left at a suitable stage so that people can walk freely along the front I dont think we will be finding skips and diggers underfoot !

I also dont believe it will stop newcomers coming back to PP if it isnt all finished this year ! It has so much beauty and other things to offer How many places have others been where there are massive holes in the pavements craters in the roads and still go back The Greek islands come to mind to me !!

Am really looking forward to seeing it all instead of just the webcam view !

Oh Ye of Little Faith
You Have the best Island and Town in the world.
We Visit three or four time per year and enjoy the changes and the non changes to the Port. Resident and visitor safety and environmental well being is what really counts .
So what if it takes a bit longer .As the old saying goes .... IT WILL TURN OUT FINE.
I'm Bringing my Bucket and Spade in April

I just looked at the webcam on the front, not sure if that's a pile of cement in between the skips or is it a huge cow pat .

Wouldn't want to see the offending cow waltzing along the seafront ...

so thought that too when I saw it!!!

Ok so it looks a bit of a mess/work in progress at the mo but I can say thumbs up to the stretch between Cafe 1919 and the Tabac even this short stretch alone, one has the feel of space and can imagine that in the height of the season it will be much more easier to get along the front without having to constantly do the hokey kokey ie on and off the pavement to get around the meandering window shoppers etc.
Give it a chance ....there were those who said moving a business to the other end of the town wouldnt work but always looks full.
Down side is more improvements that are made more people will visit PP...what a terrible thought ....they may not be PLU....shudder the thought :)

As they say, "you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs"!

It will soon look great. Long overdue but will transform that side of the port and by next season we'll all have forgotten what it was once like!

Seem to be picking up speed, SeeMallorca web cam kerbs down upto old El Ancla and Tamarells on beach side.

Making progress now along the front, kerbs on the sea side of the road laid up to Tamarells, waiting to see what they do about the old el Ancla site, they are are up the entrance now and will need to dig up the path across it which will block access for the builders!!

Apparently for the moment going to be left "as is".

They have started digging up the road and path this side again by el Ancla, they are leaving the bit in front as the are having multiple deliveries of concrete to their site again today!!

Hi to all those living in PP.

How is it going from the roundabout to Tolos / av Paris, ie the bit we cannot see on the web cam.

The area up to Llenaire has certainly got the once over.

two weeks 3 days until Easter

Apart from the street lighting, more or less finished.

If you are asking me, very nice indeed.

Cars are already driving down from the Burger King to the roundabout and up and down from the roundabout up to the Stay.

Another two weeks should see a big difference, with things probably finished both sides up to where the Sea Bar is.

From then on you will be able to see for yourself : )

Hi Molt,

Thank you for the details. It is very frustrating not being able to see the works being finished.

really pleased things motoring along.

We are out for 1 month just after easter. very exciting.

They have started on the streetlights, they seem to be fitting the ones on the seaside the wrong way around, saw the pics on FB!!!

Maybe one to light the Rd and the other the footpath. If like the lights in the square the light spreads out quite a way.

I seen that SWS but in answer to it someone suggested the above. :)
