Pollensa was hottest place in Spain.

THE beach-like-weather in Majorca shows no sign of going away eventhough the Christmas lights in Palma will be switched on this weekend.
Pollensa registered a maximum temperature on Sunday of 29 degrees Centigrade and was one of the hottest places in the country, according to the Palma Met Office. This is a record ten degrees higher than usual.
And it was not only Pollensa which was enjoying the November heatwave. In Calvia, home to the resorts of Palmanova and Magalluf, a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Centigrade was recorded and Sa Pobla also had a great weather day with a maximum of 26.7 degrees Centigrade. The Puerto Palma and Palma airport were also in the higher 20s according to the Met Office.
“It is proving to be an incredible autumn with temperatures which are 10 degrees higher in many cases,” said the Met Office. “The weather will remain unsettled over the coming days but temperatures will still be high.” October has already gone down in the local history books as one of the hottest on record and the trend continues in November. In Cuitat Jardin in Palma on Sunday, a number of people headed for the beach some even ventured into the sea.

Cold windy and wet weekend.

It´s going to be a wet and cold weekend in the Balearics. According to the Weather State Agency, heavy rain, strong winds and dark skies are set to brace the region’s weather forecast today and tomorrow.
Heavy rain is expected after midday, with daily temperatures set to decline, but expected to stabilise in the evening.
The weather forecast shows that the rest of Spain will also suffer from temperature drops and heavy rain falls.
