2 visits booked for next year !

We have been coming out once a year but last year decided we would do June and September and when I said to my husband shall we go to Portugal next September it was Well I would rather go back to PP !! So all booked now

I didnt do any trip reports in June as after reading the very impressive ones of people describing their lunches every day I didnt think you would find my Tuna Baguette very interesting !! We really missed the cherries in September

Stayed in 2 different apartments first one we are returning to but not the 2nd So another change next year We did rent one for many years and then it was sold so just looking around for something that is right for us

We visit other places during the year but nowhere as good as PP Has it all for us Love the beach and just lying there looking at the mountains is wonderful Always feel peaceful and relaxed there

Excellent Restaurants We will have to have a summit meeting over our top 5 !! We tried some new ones this year and were surprised that it was busier in September than June ! El Meson Very good Cella La Parra ( worth having to wait several days for a table!!!) Guru ( we enjoyed The Fat Cats there and had good meal as well ) La LLonja Food was good but service was very poor Everything came out in the wrong order Had a good laugh with German couple at the next table as same happenend to them Waiter kept coming out of the kitchen looking all round and taking the plates back in !!! Would definately try again as lovely setting

A few years ago we had a disaster at Tolos but we tried it again a few times ( never if its very busy !!) and its been fine We sometimes just want one of their salads which are lovely There are too many good Restaurants as we want to go to Centric Osteria and Stay each visit and we have to have the best burger and chips in Tiberi at least once ! Next year we will have to try Can Pancho ( we went there before it changed and it wasnt good a sea of grease !!

The other thing we love is live music ( Thank you Gordon and Sparky ) So we like to plan our evenings around this Never got to La Roca so thats another one for next year

What else do we like ?? the very polite service in shops and Restaurants Staff always seem friendly and my husband likes to learn about the different wines and lots of waiters have been very helpful He is going to update his Spanish this year so he will be able to ask more questions Even if you have just a Baguette made in a Spar shop very nice staff and really good hygene as well

Have done all our Island visiting lots of time before so dont go far now Pollenca always and we stay in Palma ( which we love at other times } So quite happy to walk around different parts of the Port stop for a coffee then a beer Really nice chap at the little charity cafe/kiosk by the childrens park Makes sure the table is clean and we have a sunshade

Nice to see the beach has recovered and glad no one was hurt and see you next year Twice !!

Forgot one thing on my report

We used Conde Taxis both times Wasnt too happy with the minibuses in June and then read a lot of bad reviews of them especially on Trip Advisor so thought we might go with someone else in September

We decided to stick with them for this year agreeing that if the driver was texting he would be told !!! I requested a taxi for both trips and we got them The driver who took us back to Palma was really nice Lorenzo We were going to a Hotel on the Passeo for a few days before we went home and he was really good at getting us right to the door amongst the hordes of other taxis He was really interesting to chat to as well

And another !!
Had meals and drinks in SolyMar ( wished they had called in Ancla 2 !) Very nice and good to see that corner lively now Had a good afternoon in there in September after arriving in the rain Nice lunch and a bottle of Rose then as it hadnt stopped a drop more !!

Now looking forward to June ! Spain at Christmas then Lanzarote in April but June will be better !

Had meals and drinks in SolyMar ( wished they had called in Ancla 2 !) Very nice and good to see that corner lively now Had a good afternoon in there in September after arriving in the rain Nice lunch and a bottle of Rose then as it hadnt stopped a drop more.

Obviously I was not in with Mrs Pollensafan that day or that would have ruined you lunch

We had had a very early flight then arrived in rain so a good lunch and plenty of Rose meant we went back to the apartment for a good sleep so we could be ready for the evening entertainment Rod Stewart at Palms Bar

Do like SolyMar Very friendly people Still missing the Ancla When we walked back from the centre at night as soon as we saw the Coca Cola sign we knew how far we had left to walk ! Will there be anything in its place next year ??

They are supposed to be building a block of apartments with a restaurant on the ground floor, work can only be done from November until 1st May so they will have to move quickly .
