Adding links to posts

Bella how do you do it, i have tried and tried to put in links from this site, it never flippin works for me. Teach me PLEEEEEZE

Copy the link you need, for instance, a thread. The details will appear in your address bar at the top of your screen. Highlight it, right click on your mouse or go to the "edit" function at the top and copy.

Then start your post and click on the little planet with the iron link thing - just above this text box.

When you click on that another window appears. Paste the link into this (right click again or edit). Press OK and it should appear.

Teacher SWS has a notice somewhere too on how to do it Sparky, unfortunately I have to do it my own way - just to be different - as I cant do the PP links the same way I do the outside links for some reason. But HEY HO, a link by any method is still a link! As Pollensa says though, too many links just dont get looked at so its a case of quality not quantity!

Thank you Bella, i wish i found this computer stuff as easy as others do. So often i just end up pressing buttons only to find it works but then i can't remember what i did in the first place. Do you find it easier if someone actually shows you, i know i do?.
Are we the only two people who struggle? .

I have just had a thought (yes my brain does sort of function sometimes), Pollensa would it be possible to have a "Just Testing" thread on here, (something like there is on the Tapas Bar), where us not very computer savvy souls could experiment without disrupting any of the other threads.

My instructions on how to post links

Go to your profile and click on User CP, under YOUR CONTROL PANEL click edit signature.
You should get a box like a normal posting box, then you need to insert a hyperlink, don’t panic that just text that when you click on it takes you to a web page, so for example type in Property Services, highlight it how ever you do, (left click and drag I beam over word, or place mouse pointer on the left of the text and left click, this should highlight the text), then click on the symbol above the box that looks like a world with a chain link, then paste in the place you want to go to , ie the web address of the property services page, use this http://www.puertopollensa.com/property_services.html in the box that appears should look like this
Property services
then click save signature and it should work.
