Airport taxes to increase by 2.5 percent next year

Palma.—News that airport taxes could rise by as much as 2.5 percent from 1 March next year has not been welcomed by British airlines and tour operators.

The decision was taken on Monday when the government met to discuss next year’s budget and tour firms in the UK fear that the airlines will pass the extra costs onto the clients, pushing up the prices of holidays.
