OOps.......asked the question bout pollensa mar and quiet rooms......oops i should have said the apts playa mar......THats the apts on the formentor rd
with the lovely gardens the last ones on that road......we are two couples booking and require reasonably quiet rooms.Realise its family accomadation but love that area and a private apt not ideal as we need the seperate areas.
I LOVE POLLENCA been loads of times......just LOVE IT

Playa Mar is a family orientated place, with plenty of 'animation' for the kiddie winks. I understand from friends that have been that is very good - for children and families. We stayed on Ca'n Singala, adjacent to Playa Mar, and it was a bit on the loud side at times. Not the place to go if you are after a quiet week.

If you are not dead set on an apartment, on the other side of the Ila d'or towards town is La Singala - a super hotel. If it must be an apartment then check out the private apartments for rent in the 'Before you go' section down the lefthand side of the screen.
Depending when you are going there are discounts to be had.
Steer clear of Ora Playa apartments.

We visit the Playa Mar every May and love it however............... in high season I would doubt very much that it would be classed as quiet!
Def promoted as a family holiday with lots going on around the pool for all ages plus nightly entertainment until midnight based outside around the pool.
If you did go there I would ask for a room facing away from the pool - perhaps facing back into Peurto Pollenca rather than the road leading up to the mountain as I have heard this can be quite noisy when the bins are emptied!

hey thanks for that........so love pollensa......needed 2 seperate aPTS being 2 adult couples 50 years of age plus. Know the apts are family orientated but situation for us ideal. Stayed bELLAMAR APTS other end of pollenca previously but cant find who ddoes them now.Thanks for advise tho very much.

budgie, i stayed at bellamar 2 years ago. and Palmair was pulling out of there. However we did hear at the time that you can book privately with the Pollensa Park hotel for the Bellamar. Not sure if true, but might be worth asking.
