Barcelona ferry / cat summer 2015?

Looking to do '2 centre' hol this year, flying Palma / Barcelona.

Does anyone know if Barcelona fast catamaran service will be operating, & when summer schedules are likely to appear on t'net?

Is it possible to purchase more than 20kg baggage per person on ferry services, travelling without a car?

I don't know if you want to use the ferry/Cat for the experience but last year when our daughter wanted to join us after spending a week in Barcelona for a university sports event (sounded more like a drink fest to me !!! ) we thought the Ferry/Cat would be ideal - until we saw the prices ..... far more expensive than a flight.

There are an amazing number of flights from Barca to Palma each day and prices are so cheap (less than 50euros)

thanks...early indications are that flying will be cheaper, & obviously less time....wouldn't have minded a 'cruise' , but convenience likely to win...

Flights from Barcelona to Palma are like buses. and the flight is around 45 mins and soooooo cheap think you have a choice of 4 airlines .Use Skyscanner.com to get the best deal for flights. I use it all the time

quick update, booked 4 one way flights inc 23kg hold bag each for £98.80 total, Veuling via Iberia site . Does anyone know how long it takes to get through security etc at T1, presumably 'internal'...online check in / bag drop so hope don't have to be there
