Hi all, hoping you can help. Every year we are here we always hire a boat and make our way to playa Sant Joan in Mal Pas (I hope that is the right beach) we anchor up and swim in and have a lovely lunch at the beach bar there... we want to do the same on Monday but we are worried the beach bar might not be open. No matter how much we search we can’t find a name for the beach bar or any opening details. Does anyone know? If not we will probably head there anyway and take our chances but if anyone has any info that would be great. It’s just a rustic little beach bar on the beach itself. Thank you

The rustic Beach Bar was not there last year (can't remember if it was there two years ago). We got the impression it was leased by the people who maintained the beach/contract. Not managed to get there this year due to lock down and suspension of flights.

Enjoy the calm of the beach. Wish we were there. :)

I know the one you are referring too. No that has gone. This is literally just a bar on the beach, it might not se Sant Joan.. it might be the next one (pere?) It is literally right on the beach. Does amazing sardines, cocktails. But I don’t think it has an official name 😂😂. Really small. We found it by accident but we love stopping off. We have searched the internet and google maps but can’t find any info. We will just try our luck. Thanks anyway.

Must be the other beach as you say. Sardines sound good, will try on next visit .

We were round that way yesterday on a boat and noticed the kiosk and beach beds were not on the beach.

it wasnt there 9 days ago.

Thank you, no the beach bar I was referring to wasn’t there. Although we did find a wonderful restaurant on the rock face round there called S’illot. I think it maybe used to be the Victoria? Or maybe that is the name of the beach? It was a pebble beach but very beautiful and the restaurant and food was lovely!

S'Illot is the name of the beach and the restaurant. Victoria is further up the road where the hermitage is but it is currently closed

Ahhh ok thank you. The waiter told us the restaurant was new?? Regardless it was lovely. Was also very busy and full of Spanish which I always take to be a great sign!!

The restaurant has been there for many years but it changed hands recently.
