We are a party of 5 - grandparents, parents and 3 year old child. We are looking at 3-bed apartments in this area - does anyone have any recommendations about which blocks of apartments are most suitable. We want ground floor and have seen Britea, Sangrila and Circe advertised - any advice appreciated. Also, does anyone know if barbecueing is permitted?

I stayed at the Sangrila apartment 4 years ago in a very similar situation to you. There was me, my 5 year old and his grandparents staying there. And it suited us perfectly. It is very close to the pine walk and only a 10 minute walk to the port along the pine walk. And what a lovely walk that was too!

Singrila was a lovely apartment and the Bellresguard complex is great too. My ex-wife returned the following year to the same apartment with our son and his grandparents because it was so lovely.

We were told by the owners that BBQing is not allowed. There was no BBQ there and no one else in any of the other apartments seemed to be using one.

As for which of the 3 are best I can't really say. All I do know is from the outside most of the apartments in the complex looked identical but they may be different on the inside. If it was me I'd go with the cheapest one that has availability as they will all be much of a muchness I imagine.

Hi Lynda,

We normally stay in Bellresguard, the original part of the area (I think the Sangrila buildings came later.?) I know there are ground-floor apartments with barbeques in this area eg Creta, Nereo etc. They are also that bit larger, if more space is required!!
We did stay in one in Sangrila, one year, which had an amazing roof terrace with barbeque and was very safe but I know you are after a garden.....try looking at the other buildings....good luck :)

Thanks for the replies, we have decided to go for the Sangrila. Apparently car hire for large party would be very expensive - any advice re. airport transfers?

look at resort hoppa. i'm out in 9 days staying in bellresguard there are 9 of us and it is so cheap as we dont want a car whilst we are there. Search the resort hoppa thread and it will give you loads of info. And a discount code..
