Best time in January

We are thinking of going to PP in January next year, as we havent been in that month yet. It is my sons birthday on the 8th and he thought it would be good to be there then. But I have a feeling that Pp is shut down then and all the excitement happens towards the end of Jan. Can you confirm the best time to go for a long weekend in January please? :\

For the fiesta on 17th Jan, does this date stand as the 17th or is it the nearest Saturday or Sunday to that date, and does that follow for all dates? Am now trying to book flights for January.

Belladonna, not too sure whereabouts you live, but I've just booked flights from Heathrow on BMIbaby for the end of January for £7 each way plus taxes !! Thought you might like to know!

Thanks Sandy - hate flying from Heathrow, usually go from Gatwick - but at those prices!!!
Theres an even better deal - £1 each way Sat to Tues! It will cost more for petrol and parking the car than to actually get there!! As no one seems sure re the fiesta dates, may just take a chance and go for it! :eek

Thanks Beachfun! Missed out on cheap flights - boys now going from Gatwick on 20th for £27 with Easy jet. One year I WILL get out there for the celebrations!!

does anybody have first hand knowledge of times/dates of the Fiesta in January 07? I know there was a post some time ago explaining what happened during the Fiesta but I can't find it. Flyglobespaan are doing not a bad deal going out from Glasgow 19th Jan returning 22nd Jan. Would this take in the Fiesta?
