I presume there is no truth in the rumour that Bonys is going to be a Chinese?Sounds a bit far fetched

Walking around the square one evening last week we thought we spotted Jose sitting on a bench, facing the church, alone and looking sad.

Hi Whaley, i also saw him by the church but it was quite late and he was with 2 other men and the boss lady from Serenity Coast. Over the weekend i have seen him 3 times and he was looking much happier. Lets hope he is on the mend.:)

jose is working tonight at Los Zarzales

Bonys and Jose

I had a long talk with Jose the other night and he is feeling much better. He told me so many people had asked how he was and wished him to get well soon.
He also said he had a contract with Coco who is running Bonys for 1 year and he will see how that goes before deciding what to do in the future.
He told me he is doing 2 nights a week in a restaurant at the moment which suits him well as he is still not 100% fit.

Thanks for the update Senor.

Jose is a PP institution, love him or hate him, and it is good to know he is progressing on his return to health.

Every good wish Jose for a full and speedy recovery.

Have just past Bonys, they were closing upand it was just after 9... and 2 signs in the window

closing for a few days and Jose is back ???

Bonys

To all his customers and friends Jose advises that he will return on Tuesday 30th and will open at 6.04pm. He has many surprises in store:

Good News :)
Looking forward to seeing Jose on 25th July for 3 weeks :D

Today Jose has notices in the window, saying don't cry for me be happy. He is also offering a free drink for everybody on Friday and Saturday of this week. Enjoy, those of you who are here.

That is great news! Not the free drinks....... but the fact that Jose is back and by the sound of it, back to his usual self!
At Easter PP just wasnt the same without him, even though we just pop there at the end of the night for an after dinner night-cap. My family will all be pleased to see Jose back where he belongs.

Sorry, but I think I must be the only one on this forum who has never heard of Jose, and never been to Bony's. Am I missing something?
Bony's always seems too crowded and noisy whenever I go near it. Not the place to go for a nice quiet meal.

Pollpot,

Around 50% of people will tell you you're not missing anything. If i were you i wouldn't cry!

Bony's is not a place for a nice quiet meal but then, the way we see PP at the minute, the days of nice quiet places are coming to an end in the town. Too many sports bars and kiss me quick hat type places springing up.
Bony's is an institution in itself and you either like it or hate it.......we fall in the former camp and are very pleased to see Jose about again.

Blimey, its only a bar - I've never known one place ignite so much debate. I've never understood what the problem is with the place - to me its always been a great place to sit and watch the world go by - nothing more and nothing less:)
