Nostalgia are hosting another Burns Night Supper on Saturday 24th January from 8pm .
There are limited seats so booking is advisable.

Cock-a- Leekie Soup.
Haggis, Neeps and Tatties with whisky sauce.
Cranagan Cheese Cake.

Price 16.95€ which includes a complimentary 6 year old malt whisky.

Sounds great. I will also lift a glass to you and yours on the night.

I did a double take on the sweet - i think it's Cranachan; main ingredients beside whipped cream are toasted oatmeal soaked overnight in whisky plus honey and raspberries. I have done it the other way around and "been soaked in whisky overnight, and given the raspberry by my Honey in the morning".

Some things just don't change.

I think that was what a Scottish guy did at last years supper but i can understand the Spanish more than i can the Scots when they are in full flow, so not certain about it .

Thankfully they have got everything in hand so i won't be needed .

Have just spoken with Michaela and she asked me to add that the bar is open from 6.30pm but everyone needs to be seated for 8pm .

Sparky, this all seems a bit odd, last night spoke to a friend who is learning his lines for the supper on SATURDAY night. At lunchtime today another 6 people I know we're talking about it and they also are going Saturday night. Does it last that long? ��

We had a lovely evening, good food, service and great company, thank you everyone . I drank the whisky, well it would have been rude not to but i really don't like the stuff and i am sure that is why i had a headache this morning .

A novel twist in the proceedings was to have a Spaniard recite the Selkirk Grace , i have to say he did a better job than i could have

Glad you had a good night Lynn.Great that the Bard has a recognition in Pollensa.If any members plan to visit Scotland take time out to visit Rabbies birth place Alloway farm where he lived till the age of six.Also his house in Dumfries where he died is brilliant where a lot of his original hand written work is on display as well as the desk and chair he used.
He also inscribed his initials on one of the glass window panes which is still intact on the window.

Been, to both Sleepyboaby. I like some of his poetry and songs - not all, But his best for me is a " A Man's a Man for awe that".

A Man's a Man for awe that got him in a bit of bother with the establishment with his sympathetuc leanings towards the French Revolution.
"The merry muses of Caledonia"shows his raunchy side of writing which he kept in a private book.So much so that after his death close friends found the book and destroyed it to keep his good name intact.
