Hi

I have a wee question that my tour operator can not seem to answer. Can a child - 18months old travel on a coach on my knee or are the laws different to in the UK?

Also and this may seem really stupid but do restaurants have highchairs? I can't remember seeing many the last time we were over - but at that time my oldest was 4 so it wasn't needed - this time travelling with an 18month old and not sure whether to buy a travel highchair or whether restaurants have these.

Thanks in advance
AP

Hi and welcome to the forum Pateran, i don't know what the law is regarding children travelling on coaches but you will find that restaurants do provide high chairs for little diners ;).

Hi AP
In reference to sitting on the knee, there's some info on the Resorthoppa website - see 'Travelling with children'
Airport Transfer FAQS | Important Transfer Travel Facts

I'm not sure what the legal situation is, maybe the AA could help you out there?

If you're planning to get around with taxis you might think about bringing a child seat along, as most taxis only provide a booster seat which wouldn't be suitable for a 18-month old.

There's plenty of children seats in the PP restaurants, but quite a few of them don't have straps.
You might want to bring a harness along (and remember to not leaving it on the restaurant chair ...) see sample here -

As an aside, if you're staying in an apartment and need to hire a high chair (or other baby goods) have a look at Multi Hire here -

Thanks so much for your replies. I will be bring the harness for walking anyway so good to know I need that. I have been in touch with AA about the legal travel arrangements.

I have no intention of using taxi we tend to walk every and don't go very far on holiday so all is good there.
