We are now the proud owners of an apartment in puerto pollensa and have chosen puerto pollensa .com to advertise it.We have also chosen ideal maintenance & cleaning company , our first bill for one clean is £140.00!!! has any one else had a similar experience? any advice would be great.

I look after apartments, villas, fincas and country houses in Alcudia, Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca.
It really depends on the size of your property and what services are included.
My charges are for 10euros per hour with laundry extra.
I also provide an inventory and welcome information service and when required for clients, an airport pick-up service which is charged seperately.

we own an apartment & did use Ideal for a little while.

They appear to have a very good reputation & do a very good job cleaning etc. but you do pay for it. Do make sure that you are told in advance exactly what the rates are likely to be & for what & ask for each bill to be itemised so that you can query any 'mistakes'.

We had a shock on our first clean because we expected a 3 hour clean each week but the initial clean was at least double because they like to start with a massive Spring clean in order to bring it up to 'their standard'. Considering we had already cleaned it ourselves we were rather miffed but I think they always do this as a matter of course.

The best thing to do is to ask for all the likely rates up front - I think there is a monthly or yearly standing charge - as well as hourly rates for cleaning, window cleaning, laundry, welcome pack etc. They will also charge for any extra call-outs if your guests have problems etc.
