Easyjet Advice needed

Hi all

we have for the first time booked everthing separately, ie, flights, accomodation etc and i was wondering what is the procedure regarding easyjet flights - what do i need to print off to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible . All advice much appreciated.

Hi Gary, don't worry we have been doing it our selves for several years now, you will soon wonder why you didn't do it earlier, with Easyjet you need to print out the confirmation email which has the booking number on it, in fact I always printed out all correspondence and took it just in case, hope you have a great time

Easyjet will also prompt you to give security information, such as your passport details. You will be turned away if you havn't given them this information first. I always like to print off the confirmation page that says 'thankyou for providing us with the additional information' just incase!

All we ever printout is the Easyjet booking confirmation email as it has the check in and flight times on it. Or print the screen at Easyjet website that shows your booking details if you dont have the email.

You dont really need it as all the check in staff ever need are your passports and ask where you are going so they can check the correct flight.
No one has ever asked for our printout of booking details.
Nice to have paperwork in case something goes wrong as it does not seem right not to have a bundle of paperwork when travelling.

Dont be late checking in and all will be OK.

we have booked Easyjet for some years now...you used to need a copythe confirmation/booking but i ahve to admit it has not been asked for now for a while...I also like to keep a couple of copies handy though "just in case"

You can book in on line and print your boarding passes 60 days prior to flight so can do out and inbound before you go this now includes if you got checked in bags.
Do not forget to provide API on line sooner the better then you will not forget to do it.

Easyjet Advice

Check In and baggage drop procedure very easy as above. However would suggest you check their hand baggage rules re size before you fly. Currently you can only take one piece (unlike some other airlines that allow additional small handbag or laptop). My experience is that they can be a little bit strict at the departure gate regarding this.

Many thanks to all for your usefull information, its terrible when you haven't done something before and think its going to be difficult. Hopefully everything
runs smoothly and perhaps i should partake in a little pre-holiday drink, just to

Below is info from easyjet website re baggage:

Hand baggage regulations in many airports are currently subject to change at short notice. Additional restrictions imposed by regional or national authorities and governing hand or hold baggage may be in force at the time of carriage. You may also be advised of changes to the hand baggage allowances or procedures set out in these Carrier’s Regulations via e-mail communications from easyJet.

Passengers may take liquids on board in their hand luggage provided they meet the following restrictions:

1. The liquid is in a container with a maximum volume of 100 ml
2. That all liquid containers meeting the maximum volume of 100ml can be fitted comfortably into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag.

The plastic bag should be presented separately at security.

You may be required to dispose of liquids which do not meet the above requirements.

Save where the limits set locally are more restrictive, passengers are permitted one standard piece of hand baggage to a volume limit of 56x45x25cm (including wheels and pockets) (“Standard Hand Baggage”). It must fit without force into the gauges provided at check-in or departure gates. No weight restriction applies within reasonable limits — i.e. a passenger must be able to place the piece of luggage safely in the overhead storage bins without assistance.

In addition to the “Standard Hand Baggage” you may also carry:
(a) one of the following: An overcoat; an umbrella, or a shawl; and
(b) one standard size carrier bag of goods purchased from the departure airport

If you exceed the allowances described above, you will be required to check additional and / or oversized bag(s) into the hold at check-in or at the gate. You will be charged a bag fee which will be advised to you at that time. Payment can be made by credit or debit card only.

If you fail to pay for additional/oversized bags to be checked into the hold, we reserve the right to refuse travel without further liability to you.

We arrived back about an hour ago from South Africa and rather than wait 7 hours for the Air France connecting flight we booked with Easyjet from Paris to Glasgow, I had not flown with Easyjet for quite some time but found it simple and easy, booked in online and printed the boarding pass, that and our passports were all that was asked for.
