Went to Pollensa last summer and had a terrific time staying in a Villa near Pollensa, and I did a few days cycling whilst we were there - I was amazed by how good it was (albeit a tad warm in August!).

We're going back with the lads I cycle with, staying at the Duva next April for a cycling event. We've booked "half board" as it was only about a tenner a night more expensive than self catering, so even if we only have breakfast and eat out at night with our mates (who're staying at Club Pollensa) it's probably worth it.

I'm assuming the food is help-yourself buffet style for both breakfast and dinner? And I've seen something that says "all drinks from the buffet included" - anyone experienced the half board service there recently?

Interested to know what the quality's like as well as what this drinks thing is!

Thanks - great forum

I dont think the drinks will be included apart from tea, juice etc. but I could be wrong. The Duva is an excellent hotel with excellent facilities and although I havent ever stayed there the gym/tennis courts etc. are second to none and as such I would say it is probably the best hotel in pp.

Thanks Rab, glad to hear it's got a good reputation - have googled "duva buffet drinks" and got several hits that suggest local beer, wine and soft drinks are included with dinner - which makes it even more of a bargain.

Anyone actually eaten there though? be interested to see what people think of the quality and choice at breakfast and dinner.

Hi Andy we stayed at the Duva this year half board. The breakfast and dinner is a buffet choice with a large selection of good quality fare. The dinner buffet service has a sanmiguel tap and a sangria tap where you can help yourself to as many free drinks with your meal as you wish. All in all it is a lovely hotel with good food nice spacious rooms and courteous staff.I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Soory Andy forgot to mention that fruit juices and soft drinks are also free with your meals and again you can have as many refills as you wish

That's brilliant, Sleepy, thanks!
