An English Sparkling Wine has won a top award at the Intenational Wine & Spirit Competition.
The Ridgeview Merret Bloomsbury 2002 won the World Wide Trophy for Best Sparkling Wine.
The wine comes from the South Downs near the village of Ditchling in Sussex.
Although not in the same category as champagne the wine saw off competition from all over the world.
