The Pollença City Council is organizing the second edition of the event "For Easter we also buy local products", which will take place on Sunday, April 6, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the Jardins Joan March. This initiative aims to promote local Easter products, such as the cheese and the Pollença me, and to support local producers.
During the event, visitors will be able to enjoy tastings of frit de me pollencí, prepared by the Cooperativa Pagesa, and cheesecakes from local bakeries. Tickets will be €2 for the frit de me and €1 for the cheesecakes, and all profits will go to ABAIMAR.
In addition to the gastronomy, there will be several activities, such as a performance by the Forstinning Music Band (10.30 am), the presentation of the video "Easter Pollenca: traditions and local products" (11.30 am) and the performance by the group Spice Lovers (12.00 pm).
The campaign to promote local products will begin on March 24 and will last until April 6. Purchases from local companies affiliated with the Emprèn Pollença association will be entered into a draw for three baskets valued at €300. Tickets for the tastings on the day of the event will also participate in this draw, which will be held live on Ràdio Pollença on April 9.
The objective of the day is to give visibility to local Easter products and promote the local economy, while maintaining Pollenca traditions.
