We list the key events for the area on the events page www.puertopollensa.com/events.html

Do note that even if we have not yet specified details for the current year, most fiestas take place on the same dates each year. We post the programmes for the summer fiestas as soon as we receive them from the tourist office. This is often only a week or so in advance. If you require more details, contact the local Tourist Office - see www.puertopollensa.com/tourist_information.html

Probably this is the wrong place to ask but can’t find the link. What time are the flying boats having there display today? I know I read that there was a conference of the worlds flying boat people culminating in a display today - can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi Carol

The flying of the planes is supposed to be between 5 and 7pm today.
We love seeing our plane so it will be fab to see some others out there too :)

Toni

I only ask because on the Pollensa Facebook page I thought it said 1pm - anyway we will hear them whatever the time and be able to get to the front to watch!

This was taken from the puntinformatiu website

"At 1 p.m., the solemn closing session will begin, an event during which the Aeronautical Merit plaque will be presented to the aeronautical engineer Don Fernando Piña Saiz, Undersecretary of Civil Aviation in 1978, Director of IBERIA, Director General of 'Civil Aviation and President of AENA (1996).

At 13.30, a Spanish wine will be served with which the Seaplane Congress will be closed. However, between 5 and 7 p.m., congressmen may make a flight display with their seaplanes."

So plaque presenting at 1pm, wine at 1.30 ;)
Then the display, hopefully, from 5pm
