There's a fabulous free exhibition of paintings & sketches by Hermengildo Anglada Cámarasa currently in the Santo Domingo Church in Pollensa.
The exhibition celebrates 150 years since the famous modernist painter was born. Born: September 11, 1871, Barcelona Died: July 17, 1959, Pollença. The exhibition was programmed to take place last year but was postponed for one year.

Initially starting his painting career in Paris, Anglada Camarasa moved to Puerto Pollensa and his work is held in such high esteem that the road along the front (now pedestrianised) , from the marina roundabout as far as the Los Pescadores restaurant is named after him (Paseo Anglada Cámarasa).
There is also a bust in his honour at the beginning of the Pine Walk ( Voramar).
The exhibition will run to mid June 2022 and then most of his works will return to La Caixa Foundation in Palma.

Works by Anglada Camarasa return to the Pollença Club in Pollensa with an exhibition of his drawings. The exhibition started on July 27 2024, at 21:00 hours.
The exhibition will be open to the public in August and September 2024

Later on, a series of conferences will also take place. On September 5th 2024 at 20.30, Silvia Pizarro will speak on the topic of "Hermen Anglada Camarasa, approximation to the character" and, afterwards, on September 12th 2024, at 20.30, Rosario Alomar and Maria Carbonell will discuss "Anglada Camarasa, a protected collection".

The painter Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa (Barcelona, September 11, 1871- Port de Pollença, July 7, 1959) was a prominent representative of Catalan modernism.
