Hi all ,can anyone confirm the date for firework and beach party , have tried the offical site afew times but every time i get there my computer crashes. We will be starting our two week stay on July 11 and would appreciate any info .

Earlier postings have confirmed the fireworks will be on the 19th..so beach party 18th July (we too arrive 11th and am so glad its the following week - have virtually no sleep the night before due to very early flight and as we are staying opposite its a nightmare trying to get some sleep on the saturday night :( )

Didn't get to the party on the beach last night, but the Batacuda (drum samba), fire run with the demons and firework display tonight were all awesome. I loved San Antoni in January but tonight was in another league. In one word FANTASTIC.:D

Hi Sparky - so glad you're there to report all the fab events that we miss. Sounds as though you had a wonderful night (I note the time you put this on the forum!) ;)

You are welcome Whaley, i have just realised the time on my post says 00:02, it was actually 02:02 here, just after i got in. I was still buzzing from the atmosphere and could not sleep. LOL. Feeling a bit tired now though  ah well roll on siesta time.;)

Sounds like you had a fab night Sparky. Sadly, our holiday timing has always meant that we miss the fireworks - ah well one year maybe!

Hi Lala yes it was a great night. I am sure you would have loved it too, as you said maybe next year.;)

Our daughter and her friends got back from the beach party at 7 am

GG

Glad you enjoyed the festivity's Sparky. The group in the market square on Saturday evening were excellent. The oldies not to be outdone by the youngsters at the beach party were up and dancing the night away, even managed a couple myself. Also watched the firworks but this year from one of our neighbours balcony, brilliant displeay as usual.

Hi Lollipop, you must have had a great view from up there. I thought all 5 days were well organised and the atmosphere has been great.:D

Ooh i am so jealous of you two and all the others who habitate the port - i do not think it will be long before I join you - if you will have me that is :D

GG

GG only if you promise to behave!!!!. But seriously it is a magic place and these days of fiestas are what make it even more special. Yes there are faults but where doesn't have them. Sa Pobla Jazz festival is next.

GG, we would love to have you, but as Lollipop says only if you are good ;).
I am loving living here and the pros far outweigh the cons.:D:D

No they all live on the Costa del Crime, don't they ;).
Seriously though, the dog poo is annoying, but that is usually cleaned up every day and of course at this time of year you get a few cockroaches  but Zum and Baygon soon get rid of them.;)

Sparky we arrived just in time for beach party and with an apartment opposite either had to endure the 'music' or just get on with it and join in. As for fireworks again we had a front row seat. Third time I'd seen them and they really are good. Even managed the following Saturday to watch the Alcudia fireworks from the port on our way back to the apartment. Unfortunately we missed the end of the Pollensa festivities. Definitely the time of year to be in the port.

Hi Fussies. I agree with you. The Fiesta is so well organised and the atmosphere in the Port is great. The square was crammed every night and there really is something to suit everyone. And the fireworks...amazing. We were there last year too, and it really did make our holiday that little bit extra special.

Hi Fussies-we were also opposite the beach so we must have been near neighbours ;) - I think the beach party seems to go on longer each year...it now finishes at 6am..even with all external doors, windows ,and internal doors shut - aircon on there is no getting away from it.still they certainly had things cleared early the following morning

The fireworks were fantastic
