Blue parking bays will be free from Thursday 1st October 2015 until May next year when the meters will return :D.

Sparky. What are the green bays for please. I don't recall seeing these lines before. Cheers.

The green lines are for the market on Wednesdays ..the notice I read said you would be fined for parking there on market day free all other times

Oops we crossed there Sparky..😉😉

Thanks all. So it's just no parking on market days. Guess that you pay as normal blue bays on other days then ?
Am confused by the post that refers to Eco bay's. Guess this is wrong and does not mean you need to own an electric car !! If you do where would you plug it in ???

Yes the green zones are only for market days. From tomorrow the blue zones are free :D.

Eco bays don't exist in PP, i think Nickpaulnoah was just trying to wind us up ;).

Parking on Carrer de Formentor

A friend of mine is hiring a motor bike for a few days and is staying in an apartment opposite the Tapas Tree on Carrer de Formentor. Does anyone know if there are meters or is it free parking there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paid parking doesn't usually come into force until the official start of the season on the 1st May so he should be OK ;). Just tell him to make sure he doesn't park in a green zone on market day.

No, sorry i can't remember how much it was last year but all the info will be posted on the meters when they put them up :).

There are free parking bays exclusively for motorbikes all over town.

Whether I would be happy to leave a bike in one overnight is another matter.

I would suggest that he asks the bike company if he will be covered for theft if left unattended outside.

You're friend will be pleased to hear that there are free motorcycle bays directly opposite the Tapas Tree, in other words, below where he is staying.
