Getting written guarantees for work done?

I have had a new kitchen installed by a reputable company in Peurto Pollensa who have done a fantastic job.

When I asked for documentation relating to a guarantee for the work done and appliances installed, as is standard in the UK, I was told that the invoices were the guarantees.

Is this correct? Is this how it works in Majorca, under EU law?

Any advise much appreciated.

Certainly whenever you buy goods the receipt acts as the guarantee .
