Hi I'm new to this site so bear with me!!!

Thinking of booking the 'Las Golondrinas' Apartment in the Gommar area of peurto pollensa. Anybody know this place? How close to amenities etc are we ie beach, bars, restaurants etc. Thanks. Juliex

Welcome Julie - Gommar is a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the port on the road to the old town.

Golondrinas is a nice, well maintained block with a good pool. There are two bars/restaurants about 200 yards away, one with a pool. There is another restaurant which sometimes opens! They are not noisy (often).

There is also a well stocked SPAR mini supermarket with in store bakery - lovely fresh bread and croisssants if you are quick in the morning.

It is about a 15 minute stroll into the port proper or the beach.

The main thing about the area is that it is so quiet. :) :)

Hi GG

Thanks so much for the info. It sounds ideal for me but I am a little worried it might be a bit too quiet for my two boys 17 and 13. But beach and amenities not too far away though. Cheers Juliex

Hi Again,
Are there any local buses that run into the port or near the beach or local taxis etc we can use if we didnt want to walk etc. Thanks. Juliex

There are buss stops on the main road almost outside the apartments and the buses are cheap - don't forget to get the driver to stop though - my wife and kids ended up in the old town once!

Taxis are plentiful and easy to phone - the bars will have numbers or will call them for you.

Don't worry about it being too quiet - my kids are now 19 and 16 and have been going since they where born and just love the place, either using the polls or going to the beach. The walk to the beach is very easy and flat.

Thanks this sounds lovely. I have two boys 17 and 13. All they want from the holiday is a pool, beach, sunshine, plenty of food and drink - so this sounds just right. Cheersx

Hi Julie, the pool there is nice and quiet, there was no one in it at all in the morning until about 11ish when we were there. The balcony in our apt was nice and big too. about 25 feet long.
And the bus costs 1 euro each to the centre.
