Hi There

Could anyone please confirm that the Good Friday Calvario Steps Procession will be on Friday 10th April 09. I want to book my flights but need to know that this is the definate date. I have seen the Moors and Christians before, which was fantastic, but, would really like to witness this event. If anyone can help me out with definate dates that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good Friday is on April 10th next year, so i assume that is when it will take place.

Thanks Sparky, booked tickets with BA £536.00 for 4 people, good price I thought considering its Easter Weekend. Cant wait!!!

I just booked for Easter fortnight, flying from Southampton, hope to be there at the Calvaria steps. What time and is there a dress code etc?

I don't think things properly kick off until about 8pm or later. However, last year we climbed the steps around 4pm and there were lots of folks about, really good atmosphere. My son was 3 then so staying up until 8pm was never going to work!

When we have attended we stood for hours waiting for the procession. If you move you will lose your space!! It can be chilly and wet at easter so be prepared with adequate clothing!

We have found the smaller procession in old Alcudia much better.

However the procession on the Sunday in Pollensa is very good and people who have not been before may be suprised one unusual activity from the balconies around the square. (dont spoil it by letting on if you know!!)
