Hiya People, does anyone have an update on the road ? Work was supposed to be completed shoring it up by today so that at least one lane could reopen - has that happened ?

The road is still blocked this morning and doesn't seem to be much going on either. No construction workers around.

Thanks for the update PP Toni, not looking good at all :-( I have beds to be delivered & the old ones taken away, really looks like that isn't going to happen anytime soon ! I've heard that the council have given the stairs on either side of Bellauba a face lift, so I suppose that's the only bit of good news. Well that and the fitness levels of the those affected

Have just heard tonight that the road is open
Thank the lord! My legs were feeling the strain from those steps!!
We have to go up there again in the morning so will know whether it's the two lanes or just one.

It's true. The road is open, and looking relatively safe.
I guess they'll have to close it again at some point when they actually try to repair the damage rather than just putting a sticking plaster on it.

Thanks PPToni. I got an email from the factor this morning and just saw that it's also in the news section of the Green Line. So it looks like I might get my new beds after all
