Trying to figure out what dates the festival is on next year . We do not want to miss out on the Sunday night fireworks . So would it be safe to say around the 19th July or the earlier Sunday 12th july ?

It is usually the Sunday closest to the 16th so it could really be either, i think we will have to wait and see.

How soon do we know for definite which weekend the firework display and festival will be ?

We do not normally book a July holiday but as this one will be family oriented it would help us plan flights etc . The family are out for two weeks so not really a problem for them .

As soon as they announce the dates i will post them but they never seem to rush these things .

No guarantees - but the last time the 16th fell on a Wednesday was 2014 and in that year the festival ran from 5th to 12th July.

Has there been any notification on dates for the 2020 festival as yet?

Looking to book soon for a fortnight and would like to take in the full festival if possible.
