I was wondering if anyone out there had used hand held GPS units in Mallorca. I'll be doing a lot of walking during the winter and I have a few books and a hiking map of the North.
One of the books has waypoints for entry into GPS units and I've had a look at some of these on the web.
It looks like a mid-range device is in the region of £200 (Garmin Dakota 20?), but the price of maps for these are a bit prohibitive. To download the North Mallorca map (tramuntana) for GPSs costs around £45 from what I can see...
Any advice/info appreciated.
