I heard the Pollensa Park is to close next week :(
So sad :(

I guess it makes sense. It's such a big hotel to keep open for a few guests. Romantic and Hobby Club are lovely alternatives anyway.

Yes i have just confirmed with Cabot that it will close on Monday but at the moment the Romantic and Hobby Club will remain open.

Someone needs to tell Jet2, they're still selling packages to Pollensa Park from the end of this month through September.

Edit, Cabot's own website are still taking Pollensa Park bookings for September

This is so sad. We stay at Las Velas every year but that’s closed as well. Hope the staff will be retained and look forward to seeing them again next year

To be fair to them they may be waiting to see if the quarantine requirement is lifted.

Not wishing to be cynical, but in business cash flow is everything.

Hotel Miramar to closed until next season. This will be effective on next Monday, August 31st 2020.

I was so sorry to read this on their FB page earlier today (and, to be honest, felt very emotional for them). They have clearly tried so hard to make a go of it this year. We will definitely be returning next year and hope to go more than once so that we can support them as much as we possibly can. We miss PP so much and can't wait to return.

I have been told by someone who works there that Sis Pins will close next week.

out of town, but Port Blue Club Pollentia cancelled us last week - first time since 2003 that we haven't been to them or villa :( just hope they survive the winter

So sad to see the Miramar packing up the sun terrace this morning. I worry for all the hotels and restaurants making it through the winter. We are longing to get back to PP. Hopefully next year! I miss the chilli at Marc's (old Nicos),I just can't seem to make it as good myself!

I agree very sad indeed. Having spent over 30 years visiting PP, staying at Maricel & Miramar apartments and enjoying the view and drinks on the Miramar terrace I miss it so much. I feel for the owners & staff

Hotels Open

Yes varsp, I was thinking just the same as you.

Sadly, having just checked their website, they are showing "No Availability" from today right through to the start of November. Given the circumstances, I assume they are shut - but I will bow to a greater power, and wait for Sparky to confirm.

We used to go to the Azul every year when our daughter was little, up to about the age of eleven. We always go back and visit the staff when we're in P.P, and they are ALWAYS so welcoming and friendly, like old friends. Our daughter is thirty in a few weeks and she too calls in and visits them when in the port.
I hope all the staff manage to "weather the storm" of covid-19 and the ensuing financial fallout.

El Galeon suites staying open

Hotel Galeon messaged us today..

"Hi . We would like to inform that Aparthotel Galeon keep open this winter with long term rental rates . 1 month 1000 eur with cleaning and bedlines fresh towels change weekly"

Could be a good option for anybody able to get over for longer periods of time over the winter months.👍🏻
