We had unfortunately booked the Hotel Daina through Monarch hotels, who obviously went out of business last Monday. I contacted the Daina on Monday and the booking was still valid,however when arriving on Friday it had been cancelled. I half expected this but thought I might get lucky and the money from Monarch to the Daina had already changed hands. Christina on the Daina reception was fantastic, not only did she have compassion, she then proceeded to pull out all the stops to secure temporary accommodation in the Daina apartments for two nights, then got us our original booking ( a front facing room) for the next five nights all at a discounted price. Fantastic service and I can't speak highly enough of Christina's efforts.
