Just got the '4 weeks to go' ( :D ) email advice from Jet 2. Thought this section (below) may be of interest......as an indication of how the travel companies are coping with the current 'local difficulties'.
No comments re 'beds and brollies';) but I guess the current lack of public facilities won't affect guests at Sis Pins

"Important Information

Please note: That the Spanish authorities have introduced a new tax. From 1st July 2016 customers visiting the Balearics (Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza) will be required to pay a Sustainable Tourism Tax. The amount of the tax depends on the Star rating of the hotel, and will range from €1 - €2 per person per day. Children under age of 16 are exempt from the tax and long term holiday makers will have a 50% discount on the tax from the ninth day of their stay. In low season (November 1st - April 3rd), there will be a 50 % discount. The tax will be collected by the hotel/ apartments during your stay, please ensure you have sufficient funds with you to pay this tax.

Please note: The local council are currently carrying out an upgrade to the beach promenade with a large section of it currently fenced off. The area affected is the Beach side Promenade, there is no impact on beach access or pedestrian safety as there is an alternative footpath on the opposite side of the road. This work is not affecting any hotels.

Please Note - For your flights, you may not bring on board alcohol for the purposes of consumption whilst on the aircraft. Only alcoholic drinks purchased on board may be consumed during the flight. Jet2.com reserves the right to serve alcoholic drinks to customers at our absolute discretion."

Clinkham, this is a bit worrying as the work is now finished until November, perhaps you could send an Email back to Jet2 to inform them of this as it could put people off coming to PP.
