The present OH surprised me on Saturday night by booking a table in the Bistro at Son Brull. Being a slightly anxious shed dwelling engineer the thought of going to such a posh gaff filled me with dread.

We jumped in a taxi and headed up there at dusk. The moment we arrived I felt better. The receptionist at the hotel took us under his wing and lead us to the bistro. It was fairly quiet/tranquil. Lots of little fires, pretty lights and a pool all nicely lit, and from that moment on it was bliss. The head waiter was very attentive and chatted through all the food and wine options. The food was lovely and the whole night just flowed. They put us back in a taxi and we went home very happy.

Super peaceful, can't wait to go back.

We absolutely love it there and were there on Saturday too, but for lunch.

Everything about the place is fantastic and the food is not very expensive at all. Considering the service you get and the views, you'd expect to pay more.

We actually said that a few places in the port could take a leaf out of their book.

To top it off, the lady serving our drinks asked if I would like a touch more gin in my glass. I obviously said yes as it was my birthday. On hearing this she must have told the other staff as at the end of the meal, they came out with a delicious cake/dessert with a candle in it, all singing happy birthday to me! Just lovely :)

Highly recommended.

We didnt get round to trying the Son Brull on our recent trip. In the past, we've always enjoyed meals at their 3/65 restaurant. I don't think they had a bistro last time we were in the area.
