Extrordinary walk today. Cascading crystal-clear water all along the route. All very lovely until we got close to Pollença and saw the damage that had been caused. One bridge had its massive concrete parapets washed down the road. Huge trees washed and the GR221 competely gone in one section. Very sad to see the damaged homes with furniture and other possessions piled up. Today's dry weather and lower levels has allowed clean up to start. Typically, the water had left debris one to two metres up fences. In one place, there was rubbish over four metres up a tree. The Roman bridge looks badly scoured under the water with debris piled against the piers.
