I've just written a fairly long post summing up the restaurants, cafés and bars we visited while in Mallorca. I went to preview the post and lost the lot!

Is this one of the reasons the forum is so quiet? It was so annoying, and I don't have the heart to write it all again!

I think there is a 'time out' for the forum pages, so when you write a post and get logged out in the background, it isn't actually kept, neither for submitting the post nor for previewing it.
Sometimes you can recover the written text, by using the 'back'-button in the browser, but that doesn't always work.

You can try and select/highlight the written text (before you submit or review) and 'right-click' on it, which should give you the option to 'copy' it.

Alternatively, you can write up your text in your Word program or Notepad even, then copy it from there and paste it into the forum text box.

My daughter said I should have written it on Word and copied and pasted! Duh!

Maybe, I'll try again when I've finally tackled all of our laundry!

If I'm writing a lengthy post, I always compose it in Word first and then copy and paste.
