Maria & Peter at TYM Chill Out Bar

On our way to our fav Indian (Mirch Massala) we had a drink in this new bar. Extremely good prices a d friendly service.

Lampenfieber (Stage Fright) aka Maria and Peter were playing. Superb performance. Maria is a talented multi genre singer who delivers her own unique interpretation of popular songs, acompanied by Peter on acoustic guitar.

They are performing again at TYM on Wedesday from 8-30.......Definately worth a look. ;)

Think this new bar has great potential...very hip and trendy! Popped in last week to enquire and spoke to a lovely young lady, not sure if she was the owner, who was painting a trendy design on the wall. She was very friendly and said they were opening that evening. Haven't been yet but definitely one to try after a ruby at Mirch ;)

Its on Metge Llopis, the road that goes from Cultural on the square to Trio. Its just before Trio and Mirch Massala on coner of Mendez Nunez, near La Cantina 2 :)

PS.......Apologies for failing to mention Guy Pursey who brought aong his congas (big bongos) and provided some percussin on some songs....such talent!! :)

Peter and Maria are playing again tonight Sunday, at Chill Out TYM. usually with some guests in the second half.

Get yourselves along to support Live Music. You wont be disappointed.

A mix of music from Peter and Maria plus open mic again tonight starting at 8.30pm, with a drink on the house for everyone who performs.
 
Peter and Maria will not be playing at TYM again, it seems that the owners want to try something different.

Picked up on this change yesterday. In many people's minds this is not a good change by the owners. They appear to believe that karaoke style music will bring in more customers than live music. I wonder.
 
Yes, people not happy, but this works for Nostalgia! I must say I have only seen pictures and videos of the live music events and they don't seem to be very well attended, perhaps they feel this may bring more people in!!
 
I have spoken with some people who were regulars and it seems that quite a lot of them will now move to other bars. They are all big fans of live music.
