Just had my 16th Thai massage on Pollensa beach from these girls and I'm only on day 3 of my holiday, its now becoming quite tedious ! Seriously though the constant approaches of these girls and more worryingly for me, approaches from a couple of men are starting to become a bit of a pain.

This is not good news. Who wants to be constantly bothered by this lot when on holiday?

We go to relax for goodness sake. I bet they're not properly trained or insured or anything.

Get rid of them......

This really is becoming a serious problem, i have had so many people tell me about this and all i can suggest is what Lollipop advised on another thread, that is, demand to see their license (of course we know they are illegal), take a photo of them and take it to the police.

Yes it did irritate us also when we were there

Why dont the Police tighten up on all these illegal people The tourist office should do something also No one wants to be pestered when they are relaxing

To be fair to the Police and Tourist Office unless people actually complain to them how are they to know how big a problem it is.
As i have already said, if you are here and these people pester you, take their photo and report it to the police/tourist office, if enough people do this they will have to take action.

By patrolling the beach at various times, when more serious commitments permit, and dealing with the problem properly that they are aware exists.

We were troubled by these pests last month at alcudia . Are they looked after by "muscle "?

Perhaps a few of us old boys should produce our "old boys" when asked if we'd like a massage?
That should scare them off! :)

SMG i hope you are not suggesting people should resort to violence because, of course that is never an answer. I doubt that the authorities read this forum so as i have already said, unless you report this to them, nothing will change.

The answer is for no one to use their services but unfortunately people do ,I saw at least 4 people being "massaged" yesterday at 10 euro a time on Tamerells, thats getting to be big money with about 8 masseurs constantly patroling the beach.

I agree, if we dont use the services then they will disappear, obv they can make money, hence why they ar on the increase, so some people must enjoy the treat!!! sadly this will not go away, this has been the practice of holiday makers since time began, so just quietly say no thankyou, and let the holiday makers enjoy!! eveyone to their own

I bet they would leave you alone if you have a sign that says you are suffering from Scabies or some other highly infectious skin disease :eek:;).

No , not what I was suggesting.

What I was suggesting may not be suitable for a family forum, though !

Don't think you would get away with it though, if you did it , smg.

One guy was a bit pushy but the others took no for an answer and personally didnt bother us - just some folk trying to make a living. In my experience they're much easier to deal with than the caribbean beach traders! J

Can't just use our tazers on them, or is that against the local by-laws?

cheers,

jimbo

It has become a rather serious problem which needs to be nipped in the bud,I made a gallant effort to the Guardia Civil officers in the square today but I'm afraid it appeared to fall on deaf ears (I think they were pretending to understand my blather Spanish ).
However I may be wrong ,my efforts at reducing the sound leavel at the Le mon lounge seem to have worked , along with Richards dulciic tones, the afore mentioned manager actually bought us a drink today.
One needs to be firm on these rather serious matters, after all one needs to maintain the Ports standards.

If enough people stop and speak to the police then they may take more notice. Report it anywhere where you think there is an official person including the town hall office in the old school building.

Does it not fall to whoever has the concession for the beach (i.e.beds and sunshades) to police whatever other traders can do business there?
