Dashing armed forces 🏃‍♂️

via Google Translate

This Thursday, April 10, residents and visitors to Port de Pollença may be surprised to see groups of armed soldiers running along the promenade. Despite the shocking image, this is not an emergency operation or a real incident, but a planned and completely safe activity.

Starting at 8:15 a.m., a military patrol race will be held as part of the armed forces' usual physical training. The route will start in front of the tourist office, at the Enginyer Roca roundabout, and will follow the route along the promenade to the Military Base.

Participants will be equipped with the regulatory uniform and simulated weapons (without ammunition), as part of their physical and tactical preparation. This activity, which is part of routine training, does not imply any risk to the population or to the security of the area.
