Can i just make all of you who suffer from mozzy bites aware that, after having some rain in the last few days, there could soon be a few of the little devils about :eek:, so slap on the repellent, plug in your plug ins and close the windows at night.;)

Thanks for that Sparky! Although to be fair, they're not that bad in PP.
We've been to Barbados in a past life, and they'd drag you out of bed over there!!:eek:

I've just got back from my local Boots and can confirm that they have both the red and white balm in store and it's £4.99 for a 19 grams.

Sparky it is quite a small pot but a little goes a long way and my last one has lasted me a couple of years :)

Thanks Debz, i have just found a website selling both red and white that deliver free anywhere and they do 3 sizes ;):D.
10gr = £3.80./€4.20.
19gr = £4.40./€4.90.
30gr = £6.80./€6.80.

Yes Sparky, thats obviously the same site I said previously with free pp anywhere in the world. Mind you, I'm sure you would find some in Palma surely?!

Sorry Belladonna i thought you Puerto Pollensa included. Senior moment, you know how it is?:)

LOL! Yes, when I first typed it it was in capitals so I hoped by typing it in lower case would make it clearer! I wonder though if Palma would be any cheaper than PP (upper case!) or still as expensive. Seems daft really if the company itself will ship direct for virtually half the price - pp included!;)

Sorry Bella, another senior moment coming up :confused:, but what website are you talking about, Boots?

It may well be on the Boots website, but the website I looked on was Tiger Balm's own. Just google Tiger Balm and click on their own site for full details. :)

doh!!! good man Matt, always looking for the complicated route!!!:rolleyes:
NEVER dawned on me to go direct! Thanks

Try Wasp-eze if you get bitten, never fails to ease symptoms....Mike

I have just returned from the Pollensa countryside and as per usual had the "pleasure" of all kinds of insect bites - including horse flies as well as mosquitoes. Over the years I have tried all sorts of repellants with only partial success - so I now use a "bite away" machine which successfully treats the bite (for me at any rate). As forumites may be aware this machine delivers a hot spot of 50 degrees C on the bite area and immediately diffuses the usual irritation. It can be painful, and probably induces masochistic tendencies, but hey ho. :)

do tell......

White tiger balm is the only one to stop the itching.

Arriving next week and are wondering what the current mosquito 'status' is?

It really does depend on the area you are staying in. Trees, plants and stagnant water are guaranteed to attract them. If you have a problem with them, wear your repellent and use plug ins or sprays, keep windows closed....all the usual precautions.
