Moving to Puerto Pollensa

Hi everyone

I am a new member although I have been visiting this website and PP for years. I love how everyone is so helpful and friendly to each other on this site so thought i'd ask for some advice.

I am hoping to move to PP from England in May next year and am unsure of the practicalities in terms of paper work etc. My partner is under the illusion that it'll be like coming on holiday again but just not going home! Haha.

I am not too concerned about finding long term rentals as I am regularly checking the websites for these and am sure we'll find a suitable one.

The main thing I would like to find out about is how to apply for residency etc and also about the process of enrolling my 7 year old daughter into a local school.

I have noticed from previous posts that quite a few people have made this move with children of a similar age. If you did this - please get in touch!

I believe it is not so easy now to gain residency as you now have to provide financial details, presumably to ensure you are able to support yourself.

I would be grateful if anyone has up to date information regarding residency application.

Type in "British consulate palma de mallorca" there is also good info on their site, one assumes that they have all the updated information.

I have managed to get a job so I feel like I am one step closer! Does anyone have any advice in relation to schools for my daughter?
