Your favourite place, Puerto Pollensa, is featured on the new TV show My Dream Derelict Home In The Sun tonight at 8pm on HGTV UK. Presented by Scarlette Douglas from A Place in the Sun and I'm a celebrity.

How do we know this?.....well we're in it
The show asked to film the story of our house build here in PP. So it's an hour of us, 3 naive Brummies, building a house and starting a new life in Mallorca. Interspersed with footage of beautiful PP.

We haven't seen it ourselves yet so we're very nervous and we're still not quite sure how we got ourselves in to this!
Anyway, we hope you enjoy it. It's been an amazing part of our lives. Meanwhile we'll be watching from between our fingers *

Nerves of Steel

Just watched the program, and my goodness, you both must have nerves of steel. And also the patience of saints.

However, hopefully all is well that ends well, and as someone who has been visiting PP for over 30 years, you made the right choice. Green with envy really - enjoy.

Well, having watched that I’d take my hat off to you for that…….but I don’t possess enough hats!! After all that you’ve been through, I hope the project is getting there for you. You certainly deserve it!

Well last night was rather stressful waiting in anticipation for the show to be aired.
We're happy now it's out there though and happy with how the episode turned out.
I know people will be disappointed with not seeing a finished product (we've seen comments on social media already ), but that's the reality of it unfortunately.

Thank you for all of your kind comments. It's been, and is still, a labour of love but we're determined to get it finished....this year! Famous last words?
In the meantime we're very happy going about our daily lives here in our beautiful Port

Aaah, so you're the PPToni! We watched it....increasingly through our fingers, as time went on. Not the best advert for Mallorquin builders, but you've got yourselves a great plot and I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.

It was a really interesting watch ........ brave does not even cover it ! Hope the pool gets done ok. Lovely end of the town as well. Quite handy for Laguna if I got the location right.

Well done, I do not think that I would have the patience that you have both shown but then I am 75 and would be concerned that it would not be finished before I am!!
Are the local builders always selective as to when they speak English or not? only joking.
