New Movistar phone charges

As from the 18th of May 2016, Movistar is going to start charging it´s mobile internet customers 0,15 centimes for every 1 Mb used after the contracted 2 Gb has been consumed.

This means that the service will remain to be fast as it will no longer be free at a slower speed.

The maximum extra charge will be € 15 per month, in other words for an extra 1 Gb

This will automatically take place UNLESS you opt out.

PS This has nothing to do with home or office internet, only mobile phones, but I would put money on it being implemented sooner than later on home lines as well.

Increased Movistar Charges

Just checked our bank statement and noticed our charge from Movistar - just for a landline - has gone up by €20!We have not been to our apartment since late October so it has not been used. We were thinking of cancelling this but we definitely are now and going to use our mobiles. Wondered if anyone else had noticed such a steep increase. We are out in Pollensa tomorrow so straight to the Movistar Shop!

Our tv/internet/phone/mobile phone package went up from €62 to €67pm a few months back so your increase seems high

We have landline and broadband and pay about €67 per month. No change for a while
