Winter must be over, the guys are very busy on the beach. The wind breaks have been taken down and the machine is leveling and cleaning the sand :D.

I love watching this bit of the year on the web cam! It's so exciting :)

Parasols going up ;).

Judging by the weather forecast, they'll be disappearing again pretty quickly again, seeing as a big storm with high winds is arriving on Saturday.....just in time for our visit! :(

Yes, I can see the umbrella poles are currently being put on the beach via the webcam. At least it hasn’t been left as late as it was a couple of years ago! :)

Great to see the poles going up.
Would be interesting to see the cost this year. I think last year it was 13 euros for two beds and an umbrella. Hopefully it would not have gone up again.

I think last year it was 15€ on the main beach and 22€ along the Pine Walk.

Sunbeds and Brollies

So,

Can anyone tell me the terrific value prices for sunbeds and brollies this year, both on and Pinewalk beaches? :)

If I remember correctly from last year, 2 loungers and one sunshade:
Tamarell's beach - E16
Pine Walk beach - E22
Both vastly increased on previous years, but you do need shade!
Many folks have taken to providing their own. Pine Walk beach sunshade/loungers
set-out is much more 'crowded' than in previous years - (brings in more EEEE....s !!!)

OK

My mistake - I had assumed that the white sign (???) on the pole was the Tariff. :o

Anyway, this also implies that their contract for charging does not apply until 1st May, or sometime around then.

Look forward to seeing the actual charge when anyone knows it.

I may be wrong, but the 'white sign' that you mention:
I think it may be a small safe for keys, etc., that you can pay for separately?
Not 100% sure.

Just arrived back and there is the usual beach patrol guy collecting the money from the very few who can afford to pay the 16 or the 22 that they cost.

So the minimum has gone up a euro to 16 euros for some reason:mad:. Last June and July there was a noticeable reduction in the number of sunbeds hired and I think that this year may be the same. We will certainly look at alternatives as we spend most days on the beach.
Does anyone know where you can buy sunbeds for a reasonable price as I think that this will be the way forward and less expensive?

Last year, I couldn't help but notice from the webcam, and from the time we spent there, that there were many, many families "setting up camp" in between the areas of sunbeds, rather than spend nearly, or over, 1000 euro for their fortnight.
