I see PP now prepping for the new season.
The windbreaks are down and sand has been sifted, that's much earlier than last year I think.
Some works being carried out at the Miramar too.
Nice to see....

I know we paid €15 euros in 2023 but had returned home last year before the bed issue was sorted out so don't know how much they were last year.
These are the regular ones on Tamarells beach where the kiddies climbing frames are.
Nowt fancy about them at all.

It sure is quite a bit of an increase.
Probably to do with the new contracts and the associated hike for the beach services.
It was always clear, who was going to foot the bill for it.

Multihire will hopefully be useful to some, looking for less expensive alternatives.

Looking back over previous beach threads on the forum:
2018: 16 (Tamarells) and 22 Euro (Pinewalk)
2015: 2 beds with sun shade 12.50. 1 bed or just a sun shade 4.50

Think it was 15€ last year too. Hopefully they will continue reducing them, as in previous years, after 3pm!

We always wander over after 3.30pm and grab a couple of sunbeds that people have vacated. Never been charged.

Best time of day on the beach.

Do they never come over and demand you pay or are they long gone by then? My mrs loves a sunbed so always causes a few arguments…😂 I’d rather put the money towards a nice meal!

They are long gone...never seen anyone opposite the Hobby Club. However, I always try to use the beds that have been used already, so already paid for....so on the off chance someone does see us, they may think we have paid.

Fair few jellyfish lurking around in the shallow waters on Tamarrels beach today.

@martinchip10
Hope you didn't get stung.

Do the lifeguards raise a flag, if there's a danger?

There is an app where you can report jellyfish sightings (and it also has some more info about jellyfish incl first aid suggestions) - https://www.medusapp.net/

In theory there should also be info (if there are alarms forjellyfish) on the beach info website - https://www.platgesdebalears.com/en/localidad/pollenca

They were there again today. A number of people could be heard saying they were stung. I tried to run to each victim ready to drop my shorts to administer the antidote but for some reason Debs rugby tackled me to the ground before I got there. I haven't been stung and it's our last day today . Assume it is warm water related.
Haven't seen any changes in the flags on the beach and the Soccoristas appear unconcerned.

Enjoy your last day/evening and have a safe journey home. Hope there were no tackle injuries
