Hi there
I've been checking out menus before our holiday in two weeks, and it seems that all the restaurants do paella for two people. I'm the only one in my family that likes it, so does anyone know anywhere that will do a single serving?
Thanks

Hi Kayzee7

I am the same as you and found the Sail and Surf restaurant last year did a lovely mixed paella for one. From memory it wasn't that expensive either.

I am hoping the rule still applies for our holiday this year too!

Have a lovely holiday.

Paella for one

Do be careful that it's not one of the frozen paellas that they drag out of the freezer and heat up for you. :(
Had one of those in a restaurant on the front in PP - really not nice!

Oh you are so right Lorenzo .
Kayzee if they offer a Paella for one and there is a menu with pictures, you can be sure they are frozen. If you ask nicely some restaurants will make a paella for one, hope you find one ;).

Marina Cafe - Hubby had their mixed paella for one and it really was very nice, reasonably priced to, if I remember rightly. Came in an authentic paella pan.

Its often possible to get as part of a menu del dia - I think this is available at El Positoand Hibiscus on a Sunday. I suspect a few other places may offer the same. I've also had an excellent veggie paella at El Posito as part of their menu del dia during the week but I'm not sure how often its one of the available options.

La Cabaña has Paella mixta on the tapas menu chicken & chorizo
fresh & homemade NOT frozen !!

I've just heard from some friends who visited last week that Centric are very happy to do Paella for one & will also adapt for special diets such as this friend who is vegetarian & can't eat garlic. Centric explained that as they cook them all from scratch, they are happy to cater for any requests! :)
