Terminal A no longer has it's smoking hut. The last vestige of sanity has been expunged. I was much saddened by this as we were on our way home last Thursday, and I was really looking forward to having a cigarette before the trail down to Gate 08. My two companions, both non smokers, were highly amused, My nice smoking area has been turned into a 'Kids Zone'.
Heaven help us all.

Yes I also noted last week that `the children are our future` and the smoking hut has gone !!! Good job my mother was not with us or she would have had something to say for sure. A quick ciggie was the only way we could calm her before getting her on the plane. Oh dear - how times are changing !! Looks like I will need to buy her a large G&T - until they ban drinking as well.

Lol@Cocoa. Even tho i'm a non smoker, ive got to feel sorry for all the smokers sometimes. Rumour has it, that teachers in a local school are trying to stop parents smoking in the play yard whilst waiting for their children!

We are all aware that there are strongly held opinions on both sides of this topic but i do think it has been talked about enough on this forum now. Love it or loathe it, there is a smoking ban in all enclosed areas, that's the law, it's not going to change so i am therefore going to close this thread.
