My daughter and I are visiting PP this August, we opted for B&B at the Panorama Golden Beach Hotel. Has anyone stayed here before? 3 years ago the clan were with me, 2 daughters, and other half and we stayed in the Sunclub apartments (for 3 weeks :D) just next to and owned by the Panorama, the apartments were great. We used the hotel only for our safety deposit box, and to wait for our coach to the airport. The hotel seemed pleasant enough. Didn't eat there though. All other times we have rented apartments privately. Decided on hotel this year as it's just the 2 of us, my other daughter is of to Tenerife with her big brother and a few others, and my other half has a new boat.....need and say more...boys n their toys!!

But anyway, I'm rambling on now, but would appreciate any info regarding the Panorama.

Cheers

when we stayed there a couple of years ago, its very basic and the breakfast is continental.we have been looking for somwhere to stay in july this year and the price the pannorama wants is steep compared to some other hotels! we are staying over the road at pollensa park this july.

Stayed there many years ago, it was the last time we did a package holiday. Safety deposit box was not an option, we were ordered to pay 4,000 pesetas for the honour of having one. Miguel, the owner is an aquired taste, his late wife was a lovely lady" french by the way".
Many people go back year after year, it' like Fawlty Towers / Colditz all rolled into one. When we stayed there the local bar owners took pity on us but it does have a certain charm about it :confused:

Hi sure you will have a good time staff are friendly, Don Miguel is a character and some! Since Michelle passed away he seems to take more of a back seat, leaving most of it to his son and daughter in law. We have only stayed self catering couple of years ago but pop in to see family and have lunch as kids get on very well. Food is basic spag bol/chicken curry, steak etc, but not bad. Think prices have gone up as been updating appartments air con etc. If you don't have air con and it is hot ask to hire fan at reception couple of euro a night I think. Have a great holdiay

25 years ago The Panorama was our first introduction to Mallorca .It hasnt changed much since then,it is still a pleasant, basic hotel. We fell in love with it and PP their and then.Yes even then we joked about Basil and Fawlty Towers. My work has taken me to many top quality hotels with the usual a/c, sky tv etc. I would swap them all in an instant for the Panorama and its basic charm. If it hadnt of been for Miguel we would never have bought our place in PP.We were very saddened to here that Michelle had passed away, she was a wonderful friendly lady. She however was no Cybil !We give the Panorama 5 stars.

Thankyou

Many thanks. Good information on the Panorama. I have danced with the owner, one night we had drinks at the hotel and there was entertainment on. He brought me a huge glass of very tasty sangria. Then asked me to dance...how could I refuse. My daughters laughed for ages and filmed it on the camcorder. We are looking forward to our holiday. As long as the sun shines and we eat our way around the port...then for us it's perfect. Thanks again guys..Roll on 3rd August.

That's what holidays are all about!! I think you'll have a fantastic time.
