Hiya

We dropped into Bony's (doing a roaring trade and loking well)the other nite for a nitecap. SItting on the bench across from Bonys were 2 black guys.. one with his usual working shoulder bag. Im a curious soul and wondered why they were just sitting there.... rest break? finished for the nite? waiting for someone? There was no conversation between these guys. The worker got up and sat in the middle of the square, he was joined briefly by 2 other workers with some high 5's and a bit of convo. The first guy then headed back to his companion and on the way stopped to do a high 5 with a recently finished waiter who was sitting in the square. This greeting covered the passing of money to the black guy which I saw him pocketing as he walked away. Hot on heels was another worker who did the same greeting with waiter...who then pocketed something.
(Could this be the reason the reason that the looky looky guys never seem to be really punting their 'wares' ?)
... this scene was played out with PC Plod x 2 standing hands on hips at the other end of the Square (old Tango end) who only decided to come-on-down when all paticipants had left the square !

.....and Jose dont get to throw sweets for the kids no more.......jeeeeeez what wrong with this world !

People watching in the square.

Very interesting comments, I wonder what exactly was going on ???
On the topic of people watching, when we're on holiday, Mrs. T and I can sit for hours (with a drink or two) and just look at the world going by.It's quite amazing what you see and at times quite entertaining.

Would,t take the brain of britain to work out what they are selling. This has been going on for the past few years, I dont understand why the police tolerate
this going on in the centre of PP.If we can see it, they must know, maybe a few back handers going on.

I think it was a different sort of candy mate!

Since moving here i have realised just how much of this goes on:rolleyes:.;)
Jose does sometimes throw sweets Miriam but he was probs worried that it was him Plod was watching.;)

We were in PP from 8th to 16th August and Jose was throwing sweets with avengance every night (to the delight of my daughter and I had warned her before we went that he may not be doing that anymore).

He actually had a box of sweets set up on a table outside Bony's and sometimes he just let the kids help themselves!

u probably got it in one there Sparky... easy pickings !

And very glad that sweeties still make an appearance I know its not everyones thang, but rather that than the other !

Miriam
