We estimate it's roughly 1.5 miles, it takes about 1/2 hour at a leisurely stroll. Don't be put off though. It's a lovely walk if you walk along the Pine Walk. Cross the road from the Playa Mar and turn left down to the water front. Follow the Walk along the sea front under the Pine trees right into town. Along the way there are bars and restaurants to stop at. 'Little Italy' is excellent (you may need to book) or just a little farther, 1 street back is the great 'Pizza Laroc' and 'Bar Coral' (see restaurant forum for crit.) If you don't fancy walking into town every night, you can eat at the 'Bar Bonanza' (live music some nights) behind the Hotel Illa D'Or, the Hotel itself, or 'La Singala' Hostal on the same Street as the Bonanza (also nice place to stop for a drink on the way home) This will be our fourth holiday in Pollensa, and we feel that this side of town is the nicest place to stay. It's peaceful and the pine walk beach is perfect. We actually enjoy walking into town every night (you could get a local taxi back if you felt lazy - it's not expensive.) Have a great holiday!!
