Hello everyone - we've just returned from our third trip to Pollensa - lovely time until the last night (Friday 24th May) - walking back from the main square in the old town to the Roman bridge I stopped to retie my little boy's shoe, put my camera on a window sill and left it there! Realised as soon as we got to the villa which is only 10mins walk - by now it was 10pm and my husband went straight back- nothing there. He knocked on the door but the lady had no idea.
He went to the police station the next morning but no one had handed it in. We had to leave at 8.30 for the airport so no chance to do any searching.
It's a nice camera, Canon EOS 400D but the main thing is the card is full of irreplaceable photos of the holiday - very identifiable as almost all of them are of our 3 year old twins - blonde blue eyed girl and brown haired brown eyed boy.
If anyone has heard anything I would be so grateful to hear. You can get me on 07767413386 or Karen.jones@redrow.co.uk. Many thanks for reading.

Oh what a shame, i can understand how upset you must be to lose those photos :(. All i can suggest is that you contact the local police again as someone might have handed it in later in the day, i do hope so.

Thanks Sparky - have tried them today and will pester them for the next few days!

Sorry to hear about the camera and loss of the holiday photos :(

Try the police again in a few days and if you have the serial number there are a few websites that search on-line for any photos taken with it which helps catch anyone using it.
If you dont know the serial number it is in the exif data of any photos you have taken with it, (if you need help just ask.)

some website examples ( not free apart from a trial at one of them)

cameratrace.com

stolencamerafinder.com

There will probably be other similar sites that I have not found.

It might be too early to use those websites yet as if only lost last week it might not have been sold on yet or had anything uploaded to a website by who ever has it.

Hopefully someone hands it in although not many tourists would know where to find the police station to hand it in.
