Plumber and Electrician

Can anybody recommend a good and reliable plumber and electrician?

I need somebody I can call from the UK to do emergency repairs etc. to my apartment whilst I am not there.
Must be English speaking.

Can't tell you the actual names, but we have used both a plumber and electrician recently. We organised it through the English family who look after our house - Mike Beardmore - phone 0034 971546808. Not many of the trademen speak English, so we have used Mike to co-ordinate them for us.

It is useful to also have someone on the spot as all the trademen are very busy at present and can pick their work.

We have been pleased with both the quality and price.

For a plumber try Martin Aplin .... don't have his number handy (left it out in PP) however you can contact him via Barnard Hamilton - agents in the Port. No doubt Martin will help you find an electrician as well however I think if the job is not vast he may be able to do this as well.

I have been reading this excellent forum for many months now but never had the confidence to add a reply but felt I had to to endorse the positive comments regarding Martin Aplin. We have used Martin on several occasions and found him reliable, trustworthy and a thoroughly nice guy. if we ever have a problem with our property, one call from the UK to Martin and its taken care of. It has given us peace of mind knowing that he can usually solve any problem without any hassle or worry. If anyone needs work of any kind dont hesitate to call him.
